dc.description.abstract |
Gandara is a region in Matara district where Muslims have been living for decades as minority. It is
filled with all kinds of resources that are needed for human society. This research is one of the field
survey that was based on history and its evolving social tendency of the Gandara in Matara district. So
this research was done in particular area to fill the research gap. Data were collected using primary data
and secondary data in order to carry out this research that analyze the history of Muslim community in
Gandara and identify the social trajectory after their colonization. Interviews and observation methods
were used as primary data and articles, books, essays were used as secondary data. The calculation of
this research is exposing about the emergence of a cultural history that integrates immigrants’ history
and culture of Gandara. |
