dc.description.abstract The post 1980s period in the history of theatre of the Eelam Thamils has been very significant. Particularly new theatre activities have been discovered and applied in the Eelam Thamils’ Theatre which were well-suitable to be shared with the theatre experiences of various other countries.Since the latter part of 1980s, theatre activities have come to exist as an activity that strengthened people’s determination to survive based on the dialogues on the various challenges they faced. Therefore, personalities who were involved in these theatre activities were able to find new theatre techniques and applications. The application of Collaborative arts is one such theater activism. Thus, it can be understood through research studies that dramatists who operated using theatre as the main medium of social activities, used various forms of fine arts and their techniques and presented their theater activities through workshop methods. Using various art forms such as painting, dancing, singing, writing, playing, sculpturing, storytelling, reading poetry, imitating, role playing, innovating, playing musical instruments, etc. for engaging in theatre activities is indicated as collaborative art theatre activism. The involvement of collaborative arts application in the educational theatre activity, feminist theatre activity and participatory koothu reformulation research activity, all of which are identified as significant activities in the in the theatre history of Eelam, is easily understandable. This study investigates the role of collaborative arts application in the educational theatre activities in Eelam. en_US
