Abstract:
This report explains the designing and development of Online Information System for
DVTC with decision support which is a module of Human Resources Management
System. The key functions of the system are introduces a series of activities in Impart
skills, knowledge and attitudes, Introduces standard National Curricula for all
Vocational Training Courses, Introduces demand driven training programmes in all
Vocational Training centre, Equip all trainees to fit into the future work places with
discipline better understanding of work ethics, rights and responsibilities of the
"world of work", competency evaluation, recommendation for employee (this
includes training and development recommendation and reward recommendation
which is based on the employee's performance).
The first chapter provides a brief introduction to the project, the business process, the
back ground of the organization, the problem definition, the aims and objectives and
the scope of the project.
The rest of the chapters include the project's system analysis (which includes
depiction of the current business process and the user requirements , possible
Business System, and the justification), system design (which includes the proposed
system and its the methodology and tools used for system design and development,
the database design, GUI designs and program design), development (which includes
technologies, selected programming languages, development environment and the
tools used, security measures implemented in the application, different data structures
and theories of the algorithms used), testing (testing methods and the quality
assurance procedures used), implementation (system requirements, Installation Guide,
User Guide, Backup procedures and Security procedures) and finally a critical
evaluation of Online information System making a point of the limitations in the
system and different ways of improving it to result more benefits.
