dc.description.abstract The Harappan civilization is one of the earliest complex societies in the world that flourished on the Indian subcontinent. It is also the largest of the histories that have been constructed concerning the history of human civilization. Studies on various ancient civilizations are ongoing. Similarly, studies are being done on the Harappan civilization. However, there are many study gaps regarding the Harappan civilization. An insufficient number of archaeological surveys have been carried out to date on Harappan Civilization cemeteries. The Rakigharhi site is the location of the ruins of an ancient megacity of the Harappan civilization and had not previously been investigated thoroughly. Even though the excavations done at Rakigharhi reveal several facts regarding the Harappan civilization. How they have changed the history of Harappan civilization, the mentality of Rakigharhi people related to the dead, and the rituals followed by them during the Harappan age. This research is made based on secondary sources. Secondary sources mainly used for this research were research articles obtained through the internet. en_US
