Abstract:
There are many differences in Arabic grammar, the most important of which are the grammatical
differences between Al-Akhfash and Sibawayh because of their discipleship relationship. Based on this,
grammatical differences are generated between the teacher and the student according to their wide
knowledge, while the students of Arabic as a second language were not keen interest to know these
grammatical differences in order to perfect Arabic grammar, so this research deals with some of the
grammatical differences between Al-Akhfash and Sibawayh. This research aims to clarify some of the basic
grammatical differences between them. Based on this, this research depends on the descriptive and
inductive method, using secondary data gathered from researches related to grammatical differences
between Al-Akhfash and Sibawayh, grammar books and internet articles. This research finds out that Imam
al-Akhfash, although he was a student of Imam Sibawayh, had many differences between them in
grammatical issues, differences that al-Akhfash built on the fertility of his faculties, his vast knowledge of
Arab languages and the various readings of the Holy Qur’an, and his ability to influence the facts of the
detailed language to many of the views of the method until he became called Imam of the dispute in
grammar.
