dc.description.abstract Resettlement is one of the key issues which are highly and widely spoken in the world of today. In this respect, resettlement is considered to be very important after the war situation in Sri Lanka. The people displaced by the war that had existed for 3 decades who had lived in various places are being resettlement in their own places by the Govet and NGOs while some have returned to their own residences by themselves. Thus, the Muslim people who were displaced by the war and lived in various places are settling down again by themselves in their own village called 'Rugam' in the district of Batticaloa. As a consequence, they are undergoing numerous Political, Social, Economical and Physiological problems. Research entitled "Problems and Issues Face by Re-Settled Muslim People in Rugam Village : A Sociological Research". The objectives of the research are identifying the problems and issues of the village. The stated purpose is analyzed by using simple statistical methodology. For this rationale the study is explored by studying both primary and secondary materials. In the primary source, interviews questionnaires and observation are mostly used. In the secondary source such books, journals, reports, and news papers articles are used. finally, this research has explained how the people re - settled in Rugam village are facing several social, Economical, Political and Psychological problems and proposed some solution and mean to overcome these problems. en_US
