Abstract:
The aim of the paper is to study the impact of job satisfaction on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among the nonacademic employees of national universities in the Eastern province of Sri Lanka. This is an explanatory study among 260 nonacademic employees working in Universities, using a structured questionnaire based on simple random sampling method. It was found that job satisfaction is one of the factors for determining the Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) and the relationship was shown to be significant. Findings of this research effort could enable organizations to re think or reshape their job satisfaction system in order to achieve their desired organizational goals.
