dc.description.abstract | The topic of "Effectiveness of Social Welfare Expenditures - An Evaluation based on Sri Lankan Health Sector" is an study based on Sri Lankan health sector which is being done for over many decades to evaluate the effectiveness of the expenditures on Sri Lankan health sector. The main objective of this study is to measure the effectiveness of social welfare expenditures on Sri Lankan health sector. And it is fully based on secondary data. Received data have been analyzed and then documented with the help of tables and graphs here. This study is composed of five chapters. First and second chapters consist the introduction and literature review respectively. Entire data have been given in the third chapter and analyzed in fourth chapter. Findings and suggestions can be seen in fifth chapter. According to the study, the expenditures of Sri Lankan health sector are effective on health infrastructure and health of every individual. But the expenditures to eliminate communicable diseases is fluctuating. However, the attempts on conserving Human Resource Development are appreciable. And this study suggest following ideas such as distribute the health infrastructure throughout the island , provide medical services to all the citizens equally, aware the people about the progresses on the development on health sector and receiving their contributions which may contribute to make the government expenditures on health sector more effective. | en_US |
