dc.description.abstract | The study investigated the socio-economic analysis of women-headed families in the Alayadivembu divisional secretariat area. Sub-objectives of this study are to identify the effect of livelihood programs for women headed family and provide suggestions to develop the socio-economic status of women-headed family. This study identified the livelihood sources and the problems faced by the women-headed families. 110 samples were selected from this study area. 110 questionnaires were provided among the samples to collect the data, and secondary data was also collected. This study used income as a dependent variable and investment, family members, loan, training skills, way of training and helping institution as independent variables. Multiple regression analysis has been used to analyze the data using Microsoft Excel and SPSS–20 software. Finding of the study reveals that there is a significant relationship between income and investment, family members, training skills, loan and savings. This study explained that if the government and non-government organizations help women-headed families, it will improve their livelihood. | en_US |
