Abstract:
Work life Balance (WLB) is becomes unique vocabulary in Human Resources Management
(HRM), and it has turn into a top priority for workers in every workplace. In other side Job
Satisfaction (JS) is an ultimate key outcome in every job and it would be the biggest
expectation from employees’ side. WLB and the JS are like a two side of a coin. Moreover,
the employees who are satisfied with their personal and professional life balance are
strengthened, passionate and enthusiastic to their work. Therefore, the intention of this study
is to inspect the influence of WLB on JS. This research included 190 academic staff of South
Eastern University of Sri Lanka (SEUSL) as the population. Since the size of the population
was small, the population study method was taken on this study. In order to receive required
data, standard questionnaire was utilized to create in Google form and sent via E-mail to
academic staff of SEUSL. Researchers used SPSS 26.0 software to analyze the gathered
data. The findings of the research provide a better and thoughtful understanding of the
significance of WLB and JS. As a result of the proper balance between personal and
professional life will lead to the JS among these academic staff. Nevertheless, upcoming
examiners can recreate this research work with a massive amount of sample scope with
regard to other private and state universities and educational institutions as well. In addition
to that, the recommendations of the study could be helpful to strengthen and boost the WLB
among academic staff of SEUSL.
