dc.description.abstractIndeed, according to the modern world, the translation is considered as a unique study, because it played major roles in spreading cultures and knowledge among people, along with ensuring and elevating the humanity. In addition, according to Sri Lanka, Muslims live here as minorities. As a result, they are used to talk Tamil Language as their mother tongue which basically belongs to Hindus.Nevertheless, Muslims use Arabic Language as their religious language, especially in worship and daily activities and transactions. Further, most of the books pertaining to Islamic religion have been written in Arabic, therefore everyone cannot understand and learn Islam very well due to lack of Arabic knowledge.Thus, Sri Lankans Muslims are in terrible need to learn and understand about Islam. Based on this, the researcher has tried the maximum level of best to do a best research on the topic “The Problems Faced By Sri Lankan Translators From Arabic Language Into Tamil Language”.A person who involved in translation should be knowledgeable in context of both source and target language. Thus, the research mainly focuses on resolving the barriers and issues that a translator faces while translating form Arabic to Tamil. In addition, this research will be helpful to develop and elevate the translation skills and abilities to the top in Sri Lanka.The methodology adopted is qualitative. The primary data was collected through personal interviews, and the questionnaires. Secondary data was obtained from related books to this study. Being knowledgeable in context of both language is necessity to be a successful translator.en_US
