This study is focused on examining and analyzing the factors that might effect on Sri Lankan commercial banks performance during the period from 2008 to 2013 mainly based on post war performance of commercial banks. Multiple Linear Regression Model is applied to ascertain whether the performance of commercial banks, ROE, dependent variable, is determined by TE/TA and Inflation, independent variables. The analysis revealed that there are significant and positive relationship between ROE and the Total Equity /Total Assets (TE/TA) while insignificant and negative relationship between ROE and Inflation Rate (INF) and the Log Size of the assets of the commercial banks.en_US
