Abstract: It can be seen a huge number of child laborers are working in various sectors in Batticaloa district. For instance, working in the paddy fields, servants in the shops and hotels, helpers to the sailors, sellers of the food items in the road sides and in bus, house servants etc. Sometimes they want to do their own job, which has been doing for his family members. Among these people indeed, a lot of children are being abused through the sexual, physical and psychological. But, most of the children who love to do a house servant. Although property is reducing little by little in the families, which have got their children as the child labor. This activity mostly brings lot of effects in social and cultural aspects. In this area, their educational activities are stopped completely, therefore they couldn’t become a great persons in the future. Nowadays criminal and so many illegal activities are being conducted by many people. If we research their backgrounds, we can see they all were affected by various problems in their childhood. The reasons of those activities are effects of abuses through sexual, physical and psychological. Those effects bring the behavioral changes in future. The children are future leaders, thus all people have a pivotal responsibility to save them and provide all good things to build up their behavior to become a leaders or good persons in future. Therefore, reduce the dropouts and empower their future life through identifies the child labor and study the effect of lack of education in Batticaloa district.
