dc.description.abstractThis research has dealt with the word of Ar-rahmath in the Holy Quran and its impact in the statement of the semantic meaning of the Quran with descriptive and analytical methodology. In this research Polysemy was defined in the Arabic language and terminology and clarified scholar’s opinions to this Quranic phenomenon.The distinction between the theoretical and the practical aspects of the problem made it more convenient to have the paper aimed to identify the definition of Polysemy and find the views of Arab linguists, old and modern, on homonymy will be given special consideration, so as to show how effective they were in this respect as well as to tackle the side of application of the word of ar-rahmath with the statements of the Interpretations.This research clearly pointed the existence of Polysemy in the Holy Quran with tracing its evidence, as a language phenomenon in the Holy Quran, particularly in the word of ar- rahmath.en_US
