Abstract: | Literature is the language of humanity. It comes from society is expressed through language because language and literature are dependent on each other as inseparable components. So language is the backbone of literature. The languages of a literature differ from each other literature.Therefore this research will be critically examined what are the elements that used in the stories? Whether the language pattern is used is refined? In ‘Nijangalin tharisanam' under the Heading, “A study on the language pattern of Short Stories in ‘Nijangalin tharisanam’". The main objective of this is to do a study of the language pattern of ‘Nijangalin Tharisanam'. Comparative, explanation and analytical approaches are used in this study. The spoken language has been used in the view that people should be revealed through language, and the words of the Jaffna dialect have been used. This is the unique creative language of stories. The dialogues between the characters in the short stories are used in dialects. It has some simple technique to dealing with speech talks, dialogue, experience in communication, etc., in addition to long words and many words. In various places the author goes to the story to explain the storyline, the continuous dialogue is banned and the stories move smoothly. Literary Tamil is simplified, the new words have been created, and the words of literature and non-literary words have been handled. Conversations are mixed with English words and those are handled naturally in the present day. In addition, the Sinhalese words are also used in literature. New signals that are attached to words have been used to express feeling and etc. When it creates short stories for social reform, exchange of ideas, it is essential for handling language with style elements, rhetoric, syllabus, songs, and phrases. These elements are properly used in Nijangalin tharisanam. |
