dc.description.abstract | Islam is the religion of rights and values. It has provided not only human rights but also the rights of animals, birds, plants and even the road. The rights given by Islam are accurate, realistic and necessary. Arabic Islamic literature cares about these rights in literary activities since ancient and modern times. This study compares the aspects of animal rights found in the poems of the Egyptian poet Ahmad Shawki with the verses of the Holy Quran as it is the word of God and the first source in Islamic legislation. This study seeks to identify the literature of the Holy Quran, to show the ideas of Ahmed Shawki in his poems with the introduction of him and to compare his poems to the literature of the Holy Quran. To achieve these objectives, the researcher uses the descriptive and analytical approach to complete this study and to reach the desired results. He also uses the library method to collect the data .The important finding of this study is that the Arabic literature takes a big part to preserve biodiversity, the poems of Ahmed Shawki support animal rights as they are found in the Holy Quran too and its literature is one of the most excellent Arabic literature. This study also recommends the importance of studying the comparative method of classical and modern Arabic literature in Sri Lankan society. | en_US |
