dc.description.abstractMonitoring the efficiency of learning is highly influence at the home and school. The principals, teachers and parents have to give the independence of the students for their learning activities highly expected. The expectation of monitoring process is encouraging the participant and guide them toward the goals. Learning is not only an individual attempt but also it’s an assistance service for monitoring. While this process is as a combined effort, pears, teachers, principals, administrative staffs and parents are participated during the monitoring. Hence, the awareness of the monitoring should be done to the said people above. One IAB school and three IC schools have been selected in Eravurpattu Batticaloa Educational Zone as the sample schools for the survey study. The data collected from the 4 principals, 38 teachers, 134 students and 134 parents based on the random sampling method and percentage of the elements using the questionnaire survey, interview and observation. The study emphasized that lack of monitoring was identified in the schools and homes during the study period. Therefore, the recommendations are that monitoring the suitable web sites for learning and further tuition classes; reduce the hard observation of teenagers; perhaps to do the hidden observation; appoint the monitoring panel at school; observe the disciplinary to the teenage students.en_US
