Abstract: Foreign influences played a pivotal role in changing ancient fashion trends of Sri Lanka from time to time .The influences made huge differences in women’s fashions. As a result of foreign influences a new hybrid formation of fashions emerged in women’s dress. This research attempts to find out how different foreign influences caused exquisites fashions in queens’ and elite female dresses in the Kandyan Kingdom of Sri Lanka.
