Abstract: ‘Green Economy’ has become a trendy phrase at present as the world leaders have eventually decided to move towards an economy which is environment friendly. Green economy is getting momentum in Bangladesh which is one of the most environmentally vulnerable countries in South Asia. This paper is an analysis of concepts and descriptive research is utilized for drafting the framework for green economy. Lower-emissions infrastructure and energy-efficient buildings are coming up in Bangladesh. Implementing green economy process is an environmentally smart way of overlooking urban gridlock. Bangladesh has recently prioritized the speed of economic expansion by increasing the quality of growth. Strategic decision makers have recognized that low-carbon technologies are their dreams to achieve sustainable expansion. This paper provides an insight into the needs for implementation of green economy and suggests a framework which in terms brings sustainable development in Bangladesh. Adoption of a green economy carries the potential to reduce the existing dependency on renewable energy. It is also likely to ensure effective waste disposal, eradication of industrial pollution and pollution from transportation mess. Green economy has the potential to eradicate poverty and to bring social inclusiveness for Bangladesh.
