Abstract: An academic library plays a dynamic role to enable the users through library resources and services rendered to face challenges as a result of the information explosion. User satisfaction is an important measure to understand library performance. The library needs to be satisfied with the actual information needs and expectations of the user. This article seeks to analyze the satisfactory level of users with library resources and services among the students of Swami Vipulananda Institute of Aesthetic Studies, Eastern University. In this study, self-developed questionnaires were distributed among undergraduate students for the purpose of collecting the data. The response rate is 89%. 86% of respondents were female and 14% were male. The overall analysis reflects that the library users were satisfied with the resources and services provided to meet their needs and expectations. It reveals that library users visited the library for multiple purposes such as borrowing books, studying for an examination, reading different materials, upgrading the knowledge, seeking information, recreation and access internet. The finding has drawn that users need some improvement for field relevant and updated books in the library, photocopying, selective dissemination of information and current awareness services for the user, access of e-resources, an extension of library opening hours and creating a positive learning environment to fulfil their needs. The findings of the study referenced by library management for continuous improvement in library resources and services.
