Abstract: Globally various new technology-based approaches have been handled in language teaching from 2010 to up to now. Technology is essential to give the learning in an easy and simple manner. In this sense, coordinating the latest technologies in Tamil language teaching or learning even by Tamil teachers seems obligatory in the current tense. In language teaching, the current world has faced a huge revolution in the past six years, such as Artificial Intelligence, Chatbot, Augmented Reality and Virtual Learning. While the use of technology in language teaching seems declined in developing countries, the aim of this study is to investigate the possibilities of the use of the latest technologies in teaching and learning of Tamil language and to identify the constraints of using them. Through this research, four latest innovative technologies used in English language teaching were researched and explained for the environment and possibilities of using the above-mentioned technologies in Tamil language teaching. Moreover, based on the finding, it was recommended that how the technologies can be used in Tamil language teaching, and solutions were given on how to overcome the constraint of using the above technologies in Tamil language teaching. This study was conducted as characteristic research. This study was based on several literature reviews relevant to the use of technology in language teaching. Furthermore, apps such as google play store, Apple app store, and Windows Store and downloading sites have been used as the source of information. This research was carried out based on language teaching teachers. This study suggested that Tamil language teachers are expected to use the proposed approaches during their language teaching activities.
