Abstract: | Whenever a person learns a second or foreign languages, who is aware of the grammar of his own mother tongue alone, has a great impact in learning the second languages. Challenges faced in learning the second or foreign languages can be decreased by the comparative study of the grammar of them. Accordingly, this research tries to identify the similarities and differences of the Allophone among Tamil, English and Arabic languages. To reach its objective, it uses descriptive comparative methodology through secondary data gathered from research papers, books, article and website article. It finds that these three languages have the aspect Allophone in their own characteristics. There are many similarities than differences among them. Thus, they are used widely in Tamil and English than Arabic. Accordingly, learning Allophone leads to learn the accurate pronunciations among the learners of English and Arabic who are Tamil native speakers. |
